The Live Oak Art Center is proud to present the creative and colorful work of Brenda McDougall. Brenda paints in puddles spreading happiness, tranquility, and positivity one painting at a time. She considers herself an eccentric artist and an “imaginer”, always looking for her next masterpiece. To create her art, Brenda mixes chemicals and fluids, using random tools like long cotton swabs, alcohol wipes, needles, toothpicks, eye droppers, etc. She prefers to use a rainbow of colors in each piece, experimenting as she goes. She begins every piece by channeling her inspiration and inner thoughts, feelings, and searching for the colors and mood she wants to create. Her paintings are full of color, texture, and excitement. They reflect her personal thoughts, emotions, and inspirations. The public is invited to the Live Oak Art Center for an Artist Talk and Reception for The Desert Spirit on Friday, February 5. The reception will begin at 6:00 p.m. with the talk beginning at 7:00 p.m. Guests can meet Brenda and view the incredible works on display. The reception is free and open to the public.
