About Us

Pilsner's Place Cafe is a family-owned business that started in 1947 by August Pilsner. David and B.B. took it over in July of 1981. The original building burned down in May of 2004 and it was rebuilt and opened back up in June 2004. Some of the best home cooking around, they offer lunches on Tuesday and Thursday with the regular menu available Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. They are closed on Saturday and Sunday EXCEPT for the first Saturday of the month at which time they offer their famous ''Surf 'n Turf'' starting at 6 pm in the evening.

You will find mouth-watering chicken and dumplings served for lunch on the first Wednesday of the month and they are open Thursday and Friday evenings (unless the grandkids have a sporting or FFA event). Fish and shrimp are served every Friday during Lent.

Pilsner's will also do special events such as rehearsal dinners, class reunions, family reunions, birthday parties, and weddings.

David and B.B.'s children and grandchildren can always be found waiting tables, tending bar, busing tables, and cooking in the kitchen.

Feel free to call in your order and drive through the back for pickup. No need to get out of your car. Except if you don't come in you will miss out on some great fellowship and some of the COLDEST beer anywhere around.
