About Us

While we have Veterans Day in the fall and Memorial Day in the spring, our servicemen and women sacrifice their time and safety every single day of the year, to preserve our freedoms. And in many homes across the U.S., every day there is an empty seat for one who is serving, or one who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. That is why our mission to Remember, Honor and Teach. Wreaths Across America works to show our veterans and their families that we will not forget—we will never forget. At WAA - Friends of Columbus Texas Cemeteries our goal is to sponsor a wreath for every veteran buried in each of the four cemeteries in the city limits (City Cemetery, Odd Fellows Rest, Willing Workers and Saint Anthony) for the Christmas season. By doing so we hope to remember and honor those who served while teaching our children the value of freedom. We are honored to bring this lovely program to our small Texas town. We hope to expand to include more cemeteries in the Columbus area in the future.
