About Us

Ryan and Elicia Hunter dreamt for years of a personal retreat on a few acres - a special gathering place for their large extended family and friends. With a passion for hospitality, the dream for a private oasis grew into a concept for a vacation rental and event venue. With the help of an amazing realtor, Erick Land, they closed on this gorgeous 6-acre property in Alleyton in September 2020. The previous owners had already completed some incredible updates, so only a few things were needed to turn it into 36 Oaks Retreat. They went LIVE on Airbnb in October 2020 and have been blessed to have already hosted more than 20 families from all over the country and have dozens more in the books between Airbnb and VRBO.

Outside of operating 36 Oaks Retreat, Ryan is a Middle School Math Teacher and Elicia is in Sales with Amazon Web Services. They have been married since 2006 and have a 12 year old son, Ean, a 10 year old daughter, Rylee, and a 6 year old poodle, Tiko.
